Skye is a wonderful island for the holidaymaker – it offers peace and relaxation, superb scenery and outdoor activities, historic attractions and museums, a wide range of unusual art and craft workshops and exhibitions, and musical events to suit all tastes
The island is known for its range of walks and climbs and there are guides available and countryside ranger events for beginners and experienced enthusiasts. Riding and pony trekking, kayaking, boat trips, sea and game fishing, wildlife walks and photography are just some of the pursuits on offer
When touring there are numerous art and craft workshops to browse in as you make your way around the island and some excellent eating places, a distillery and a brewery. There are interesting museums, a heritage centre and iron age brochs to explore
